I called Kawasaki proper and Chapparel Motorsports and posed the question "California Legal?" kawasaki said since it is the same model it is not California legal and Chapprael backed it up with a big NO!

if you type in fun bike center san diego in google, they have it listed in the online showroom for 07 so that would be kind of deceiving if they were not selling it. i would say try another dealer in your area. even on the kawi website they removed the asterisk at the bottom that said not available in california so i would assume they are selling it here somewhere for 2007. and i would definitely make some phone calls if i were u to see whats really going on, and when u find out, let us all know.

I have probally been doing too much thinking about this, but my thought was after reading the Kawasaki web site specifications about the throttle position sensor (TPS) on the carb that maby this addition assisted in making the bike CA legal?.......In any case I have not given up all hope yet and I will give the San Diego dealear a call...ThnX......Mole

Called Fun Bike center in San Diego and was told agin "Not avalible in California" But I did recive a tid bit of info that possibly in Febuary of 07 there may be a 400cc dual sport that will be sold as an 08.

I spoke to Kawsaki motors USA customer service today, no KLX250 (in Kalifornia)for '07, and no word on '08....

Bummer.
