Default *OFFICIAL* Tire Report Thread

I've been toyin with this idea for a few days now. Im currently runnin my stock tires which are almost bald at 700 miles. I will be shortly lookin for new tires. The problem is im unsure of what to get for my needs/durability wants. what id like to do is see this thread replied to with peoples tire reports of how there tires are doing and what type of tires there running at various miles etc etc. (Pictures are always a plus!!!) this thread will also be an invaluable resource once we have some replies built up with reports of various brands and models of tires so comon and help us out folks.

ok, here goes stock tire report [:'(]

700 miles on the tires, ridden 80% dirt, 20% road
Back tire= 60% wore
Front tire= 15% wore
performance is ok in everything but loose stuff, sand, coal culms, gravel is fairly scary with these tires.
street performance is ok with no squirelliness or a squishy feeling so far.

DUDE!!! I got 2300 miles on the 603, and I'm at 2950 with the 606, I will be switching to the Kenda K270's next time since I already have a set I bought 3 months ago. But you must be really hard on tires, 700 is too fast to be wearing out tires. Maybe you should look at more of a 50/50 tire.

Here is a picture of the 606 in the middle and the kenda's before I put the 606 on. Notice the difference in height. I am not looking forward to the drop when I put on the Kenda tire, but I already paid for them so I am going to use them.

I managed 2050 from my 603s. I could have squeezed a few more but the bike was getting scary with the lack of traction out back when off road.

Man, I'm gonna be Ticked if I only get 700 miles out of a stock tire. I would expect the factory tires to be good for about 2500 miles Before having to change them. since I only got 250 miles on the bike I got awhile to go yet. My 2 cents...

Aside from the stock tire, I've used the Kenda 270 as well as the Kenda 760, a.k.a., Trak Master II. I got about 1500 miles out of the stock Dunlop. I could have gone a little further - it wasn't entirely bald, but it was getting down there pretty good. I doubt I would have gotten another 500 from it. I then put on the K270's and they are nice tires - good deep tread for decent off-road traction and fairly smooth road ride. My only complaint with the K270 can actually be a plus, and that is that the compound is pretty hard which can make road traction not so great, especially on wet roads. The plus is that it is this very trait that makes it so long wearing. I had about 1000 miles on my K270 before I threw on a set of the K760 Trak Masters and I plan to put the rear K270 back on after my K760 wears out since it has a lot of tread left.

I really like the Trak Master II's. They have a very aggressive, deep tread which translates to very good off-road traction. I've had these in a variety of conditions from dry hard-pack clay to peanut butter mud and they have yet to let me down. Not so hot for the road, though - you don't want to do any tight cornering on the pavement with these tires since the tread pattern doesn't provide a lot of road surface contact and the treads are tall which will make them wander. As far as wear, I have about 800 miles on these right now and they appear to be wearing faster than the K270's, but slower than the stock Dunlops.

Here are some photos:

I got 300out of the stock dunlop .Switched to the kenda 760 and have 500 on it and it has very litttle wear. 90% of my riding is very rocky trails.

I bought the 120/100 size - seems to work OK, I haven't noticed any rubbing anywhere.
