I don't know if this has ever happend to any of you but, I got up this morning and decided to take the kawi out for a ride to pic up some breakfast. Well I park and wa lk in,and while in line this group of men (along in years) were looking at my bike when I heard one of them say "Thats anothe one of them SCOOTER things". I just passed it of thinking thats what he called motorcycles. Well as I sat down to enjoy my hasbrowns and OJ I heard another one say "yea thats what all those drunks get because you dont have to have a license to ride one." I guess that they didnt see the tag on the back or that it looks JUS LIKE A DIRT BIKE! I got Aggravated but being non-confrentational I just finished my meal and left. Sorry guys I just needed to vent.

Consider the source my friend. I mean, it is one of two things. Either it is as jsac says, or those retards actually don't know. If that is the case, they have been living under a rock in the back woods of retardville all their lives. That being the situation, who cares what they think anyway?
I may be inclined to make sure they understood that I was not a drunk and do indeed have a license..........

well its not just them it seems to me that alot of people see me on the road and either pull out in front of me or ride my butt, never mind the fact that I'm running over the speed limit (not excessively over, but still over). Now this is my first street legal bike (and I love it) so maby this is normal for all motorcycles but it just doesnt seem like I have ever seen some one driving up the silencer of a sport bike or cruiser, But I see people constantly all over the guys on the scooters. Just my thoughts.





and of the three Glocks I have my favorite is my Glock 23 the mid-framed 40
I have the complete family of 40s 22, 23, and I think its 34 (that one always confuses me because it isnt in sequence)

Well on the other side of the coin I have had a few people yell "nice dirt bike" as I'm riding around town and the hood. Get a couple of those under your belt and the other stuff just doesn't matter anymore. Don't forget to keep the bike nice and clean despite what these guys say, dirt bad, clean good.

 

alright deej i have read some of your post and post about you, and i have to say though maby not to the extreme that you show I do insist on keeping my stuff in showroom quality. Thats not to say that I dont like to get dirty, the first romp through the woods I had the KLX was after two days of rain (i have some after pics of that). But it took two days to clean the bike after that.
A couple of years ago i bought a new Jeep Rubicon after wanting a Wrangler for years, at that time I told my wife that any time that a chance came to get the jeep dirty I would do it no matter what even if I had just washed it! Thats what pressure washers and soap are for! that is the same theory I have with the Kawi.

I don't get it, why do you guys get so much crap for what you ride and I have pretty much not gotten any? The only times I have had somebody riding my butt on the freeway has pretty much been uppity soccer moms in mini vans on cell phones.

Is it because its a little more motorcycle friendly up here?

I have been questioned a couple of times on why didn't I get a Harley or something like it and my answer has always been

"Helloooo... Do I look like a Harley guy?"
