The only fender flares I like are on roadrace cars and my ole Porsche 930. The KLX looks like a girl with big hips cuz of the exhaust and battery/overflow bottle.

I removed the overflow bottle and will relocate it elsewhere, and mounted the battery further inside for a much cleaner look. The battery was mounted with good ole Thai backwoods mounting technique (rubber inner tube and muffler tape) to the fender brace. i mounted a 300 left side cover and it looks a lot cleaner. Only ridden a few super motard track days on it with the mods but no problems yet. I'll post if my multi day off road rides cause any issues with the mounting.

I tried to post a pic but I firsthave to host it on my Smugmug account. I'm off skiing now so will try and post when I get back.

Edit for pic, sorry no left side pics.

Good luck.

That's a pretty serious looking frame guard. What brand is that?

Waiting to see the left side. Get some pics of the battery mounting too, if you can.

I'm in California for a couple weeks and the bike is in Thailand. Sorry you'll have to wait a bit. When I'm back over I'll update the post with pics for you.

I'm arranging a ride to explore the jungle along the Mekong river when I'm back over so we'll see if the battery stays put.
