Default Ideal sprocket combinations for 06 klx 250 with a 351 kit in near future?

Just wondering what different set ups will give me what. I want the bike to be powerful out of the hole but to still be able to cruise on the high way. Tire size recommendations would also be nice.

Edit: Just checked my current set up as I bought the bike used and it has a 13 tooth front sprocket with a 42 tooth rear sprocket. I counted the teeth on the front sprocket and the rear sprocket had the number 42 on the side of it so I'm assuming that it means its a 42 tooth sprocket. That seems geared awfully low compared to everyone else's that I have seen on here. That means that my bike was customized to be quicker out of hole for trail riding and such right? Also checked current tire size and its a 110. I have no idea what I should change to get optimal performance.

A lot of folks here run 13/42. It's very common. If you want to see low, try a 13/49 like I've been running until recently when I jumped clear up to a 14/49 . Some find the 351 adds enough that they go back to the stock 14/42. Some street commuters even use a 15/39. I suggest if you're doing the 351, put it in first and then decide if gearing changes are needed. Optimal performance is in the eyes of the owner and how and where they ride. It's personal preference. My 13/49 was optimal performance for what I was riding this spring, but it blows on the highway.

IDRIDR is correct, stay close to or stock until you get the 351 and just see if you need more, you can then get what you need. I run 13/42 on an 09 and it's almost too low for as much road riding as I do.
