It isn't apples to apples because my DRZ(S) is stock and my KLX(S) is not, but no. I have done the drag race stopped to 60 mph many times with different riders switching machines. While we are just messing around, the results are consistent. One length at 60 mph. I have not done any mods to the DRZ, but if I did I suspect the difference would increase greatly.
But I'm sure if YOUrode on the DRZ it would be 10 lengths [sm=gears.gif]

I bought a helmet cam last week (cheap one). I'll post a video link if I drag them again so you can see what I mean. Obviously this "drag race thing" doesn't hold much weight anyway. I think my work van would be a good run for either machine.

 

As Deej would say..."I'm just saying"! Actually, I am a big guy and need the extra torque. The KLX is fun to ride but I am too big for it and I actually downsized from a 600 to get my 400. The wife picked the KLX over the Yamaha XT200 (she already had one) and the Suzuki 200 (too short) and she liked green.

Hello All

New to the forum here. Tuesday I ordered a KLX250, I should have it next week....YEA!!! After 30 years (and medical reasons I won't go into here) I am going to see how I do on a bike again (at age 46). Last bike I had was '74 KS125...most fun I ever had.

Not to take this off topic, but Deej, what kind of luggage rack is that on your KLX? Looks nice. I am thinking I might like something like that.

Ya know, this bike won't set any 1/4 mile records, but it will stomp a 'work van' from zero to 60.

Now if you're talking zero to 80that's a different story.
