FWIW, I got a Fiamm horn (not an air horn; more of a nautilus shell design) at Pep Boys (but many places carry them.) I originally tried the low and high tones together, but didn't have enough juice. If you just use one (which is plenty loud) it seems to get people's attention. People look around expecting to see a car. Not too bad to mount, either.

 

Any updates, FM?

Well as my Mom used to say ..... if you're given lemons make lemonade.......my flats bote just got a really loud air horn, all I used to have on the sucker wasa whistle, so maybe this wasa good thing.

 

That is kindabulky. Just mount it to the RH side of your airbox, thencut asquare hole in theRH cover. Fashon a hood to cover that and you're all set...NO?!..

OK, fashon a bracket that mounts to the down tube of the main frame. I've see oil coolers mounted that way. Still don't like it, huh? [8D]

Now that you know what not to do, you should figure it out quickly.

 

just use some duct tape and put it on the plastic above the headlight.... lol....

Hey, speaking of headlights, I think FM might have already mounted one of thoselocomotive style lights from Baja Designes. Just strap that whistle..err...horn to the side of that and they will both draw attention away from one another....either that or they will fight for the limelight.

 

You could always use the rear rack to mount it.
