bump. FM did you get your horn yet???

 

Yup it arrived today, I'm trying to figure out the wiring diagram.....I don't think they could have typed it any smaller or more complicated. I'm looking for a magnifying glass.

 

Should it be hard? How many wires on it?

 

anyone ever hear of hornblasters.com good stuff there..... they have a locomotive air horn on a crown vic.....

No it shouldn't But it comes with an additionalfour way relay that you wire in various configurations depending on whether the switch completes the ground circut or positive circut. Just gotta get the meter out and find out whats going on.

do you have a scanner? scan it and magnify. or a photocopier? they will make things bigger

 

It looks like the horn connections connect to the relay coil and the relay controls battery power to a motor and the motor runs a little air compressor that pushes air through the horns. Pretty clever - I'd love to hear it in person.

Not sure where I'd mount those horns on my bike though. Could always put them on the handlebars I gues like those kid's squeezy bicycle horns.

 

Bahaha.....I works! It sounds funny and really loud. lol Let me figure out how to mount this sucker. I recorded my original horn on my camera so I should be able to make a humorous audio before and after post.

 

Does the sound take a moment to build or is it immediate? I'm eager to see how you mount it.
