Any other tools recommended apart from the regular stuff? For example some pistons are removed/fitted by a special tool. Is one needed in this case? What was the most difficult/challenging stage so i have a heads up?

Make sure your torque wrench will go as low as 60 in-lbs and as high as 40 ft-lbs and you will be all set. Of course my in-lb didn't go high enough and i seemed to recall the torque specs being lower so i had to but another torque wrench to fasten the head back down.
I have seen this said many times. Why is it a PITA? I'm getting ready to tear my bike down this weekend, and hopefully be putting it back together in about a week or so when the 351 gets here. I've had my valve cover off my 87 kawi mojove 250 many times and had no problems with it.
I guess I'll find out very soon.
