Whatta buncha *** hats. Better them than me I guess.

ORIGINAL: Scott V

Doesn't have the top end speed of a ZX14 or Hayabusa, but it has the best power to weight ratio so it's a lot quicker.

Most Busa's

There's a Busa that holds the top speed down at the track where I race...Land Speed Racing...1 mile to reach top speed 9/10ths of a mile to get stopped..the Busa holds the track record currently at 263mph.
My Harley was painfully slow, so I hopped on a 1000cc gixxer to get my 150 license...did 166.8mph. I took it downtwice more to get my 175mph license, did 174.7mph the second try and decided that 174.7 was as fast as I wanted to go. That was my first and only sportbike ride.

Sportbikes are very fast. There is too much power to even use. That is one of the reasons I ride my other bikes more than my 172HP zx10r. It will do 100 in first gear! I have had my GPS reading 188. That was not in a mile or 9/10run like Snal. I did it on about a 7 mile stretch ofroad with a slight down hill grade. I had it topped out with the gearing I had. I would bet with different gearing on the same road it would go close to 200!

I remember the V65, a friend of mine had one I had a Honda CB5504K and he would blow me away. We thought that was the fastest bike on the planet. Little did we know that Suzuki was about to change the world with the GSXR750! Then the world of sportbikes started. They just keep getting faster and lighter.

Tell me about it. I've owned a KZ650, CBR1100xx and a YZF1000R in that order. The liter bikeswere more thanfast enough in stock form. Anything in addition to that is for bragging rights only. Bringing the front up at insane speeds is just dumb, but ifthey absolutelyfeel thay have to do it, it shouldn't be done in the middle of traffic.

I'm glad I graduated past that stage of life...or, more importantly, lived beyond it.

i was in a parking lot over the weekend, and three crotch rockets came by, and doing wheelies down the parking lot and across the front of the stores.... jackasses..... There is a guy at the dealer where my bike is that rides a street legal zx-14 lowered 4 inches, extended swingarm, fully muzzy exhaust, power commander... and a bunch more goodies, its runs low 9 second quarter miles.... and he rides it on the street.... he wants to get it into the 8 seconds.... just plain nuts.
