Hey dirtbogger, I have a 2006 for sale with 400 miles on it. All the basic mods and a 340cc big bore kit available that has never been installed. Interested?

I never heard of a 340cc big bore kit. Who makes that?

Thumper Racing. It includes the cylinder, piston, rings, pin, clips and gaskets. I still have it available as I have not had time to post it on Ebay.

So one can go directly from the stock 250cc right up to 340 just with this kit?

That is correct. I am having second thoughts about selling and might just install the 340cc big bore and enjoy. Asmost of you know I found a 1997 XR250R that has been in storage for the past 7 years. I am loving it but the KLX has a few features that the XR does not. (Just don't tell the siginficant other).

The contact info for Thumper Racing is www.thumper-racing.net Email: thumper@shreve.net Phone: 903 938-3340.

I say keep you klx, the xr is a fine machine but with the 340 on the klx it will be sweet. I put a 300 on mine and it made a world of difference. Plus the new tank will be here soon enough, I hope.

I'm surprised how you have been able to resist installing the kit. If I had something like that lying around, the tempation would be way too great.

If you do decide to keep the bike and install the kit, a full riding impression poston the 340 kit is in order.

300cc kit or larger is something that is on the agenda for me in the future.
