How do you remove the rear shock???

Rob, isn't the stock spring 5.8? You have an S model, off road, correct? I did a 6.0 rear spring on mine.

I'm hoping RockabillSlapMatt would post his weight since he has an SF. I've looked at the parts fiche and all the rear suspension parts, other than the shock/spring, are the same in the S and SF.

This is a heavy duty rear spring for the SF.
It's a 7.4kg/mm & that's what John @ MotoPro recommended for me. I'm 235lbs & wanted a firm ride for fast SuMo road riding!
I think the angle of the linkage is different on the S to the SF which means the spring is harder of the SF, as there is more leverage etc....I think .....that's why I let John do the calculations for me!!

Thanks Joel. The SF spring I have is 23.2 x 8.0, no markings re the rate. I may have missed something in the rear linkage parts but I came up with the rocker and the dogbones being the same for both the S and SF. I'm nowhere near 235# so it might not be worth even going through the work of installing it.

I fluctuate from 160-175 ish, It feels good to be, I don't bounce around, but it doesn't feel like I'm riding on a sponge either.

I've never bottomed out even hitting jumps. Corners great, even handles my 140 gf quite well. I have no complaints

John just did mine, when he tested the spring it was between 5.4 and 5.5 (5.47xxx) if you wanted to get specific. That is off a lightly ridden 2012. He did great work, front and rear springs, along with lowering it internally a bit. Feels really solid now, no squishy front when I stop.
