why avoid the opportunity to tell/make up a juicy story on how it got said wound

Straight razor blade scrape off the little shreds of plastic then hit it ever so lightly with a mapp gas torch. It'll bring down the high spots, then sand lightly and slap a sticker on it. Less fugly for sure

ive heard fine grit sandpaper and a heat gun sparingly to smooth out. will loose its shine but be smooth enough for graphics stickers to adhere

LOL yeah. I like the bike to look nice, but the cost of those shrouds does not make it easy to keep the bike pretty.
