UK_Nick,

Did you do the carb mod? I have stalled a couple of times in water that was not as deep as the stuff you were in. As the water got deeper, the engine started running rougher and eventually, no matter how much gas I gave it, it stalled.

I haven't done the carb mod yet but I plan to do it over the winter "break."

do you still have to do the "carb" mod if you have EFI (which I assume OP has since he is in England)...

I suspect you're right and that the EFI version doesn't require any "mod" to make it run in deep water.
Still, I wouldn't want to stall it with the water higher than the tail pipe.

Been there done that.
Ive been seriously thinking of taking a good quality ratchet strap tie down to use as a come along for this type of thing when Im by myself. Do they make mini comealongs for those of us that do the sometimes not so bright things? :P

I have carried a heavy duty ratchet strap in my pack to be used as a come along. Also doubles as a tow strap.

That looks like fun, I want to ride with you guys! I'd take a pass on the deep water, though. Air intakes on the KTM are carb level. Gotta keep the speed up to make a bow and hope the intakes stay dry in the wake. Slow down or stop ... uh oh.
