Default How deep can you go ?

I spent yesterday splashing though Fords, rivers and flooded lanes on my KLX and I wondered how deep you can take the KLX before it gets water logged!

Anyone got some pics taking their bike deeper?

Started off ok, nice and easy ...

Getting muddier ...

Getting deeper ...

Getting rougher ... (engine still running!)

... but eventually my luck runs out and I fall over ...

Then the rain started and I was soaked to the skin by the time I got home.

Not bad, but you didn't keep the engine running, or ride out!

I actually had the water ABOVE the wheels and kept moving

Well, it wasn't the water that stopped me here.

I just want to know how you get it out of something like that. That is one of my worst fears is burying in the suction.... whats the proper way to remove yourself from that? Walk it out under power? tow it out? call a helicopter?

When it's that stuck you just got to lift it out 1 wheel at a time.
Try and drag it to the side or up onto anything firmer.
Hopefully you have a mate or 2 to help.

But either way, just drag/lift it up.
Maybe then you can walk it out.
If not, get it to the side by dragging and lifting.

If you realise early enough, jump off and walk it out.

Best plan?
Avoid it
Head for the trees.

I would never have attempted that deep of water if I had not first done the Carb T-Mod.
