damn $75 for the side cover,so that probably means the shrouds are $100 a piece []

I have 2980 miles and I have changed the oil 5 times. The first time after 40 miles and the Mototune break-in. The wife's bike has almost 100 miles on it and she is out of town until Tuesday, so I think I will change oil in her bike. I noticed that the XT225 has metal brass screen filters, and over on the XT225 forum there is a thread that shows that you can clean these and re-use them. Maybe that's why they were $10.00 a piece. My filters are only $6.00 each, but I wonder if the paper filters actually do a better job, any thoughts guys?

I've heard the paper filters filter out a smaller particle size than the stainless steel reusable filters. I don't know about the brass XT225 filter. Whether that filtered size makes any practical difference to engine longevity is a whole other question, though.

BTW, my bike is at around 3300. Due to my wife's work schedule, I haven't been able to ride as much as I normally would recently. I've done probably 5 oil changes.
