Home Fab turn signal brackets and fender eliminator

If I wasn't such a nerd about keeping it legal, I would do flush mount signals and all that fun stuff. My riding is my freedom, and I won't trade flashy looks for the possibility of talking to the law. I have a girlfriend already so I don't need to impress anyone :P
I ran DRC turn signals on my wr250r, and the local shop guys run them on their bikes. They survive, and flex. Shop owner has had them on his klr650 for 6 years with many spills in between. I tipped my wr250r ALOT and they always took the hit and kept ticking.
This bike is being built for adventure, and I intend to put heated grips on the bars. The less draw on the battery, the better. I love me a good LED, as long as it's as bright as stock and spaced out the same as OEM
The signal you posted looks nice, but if I'm gunna spend the money, LED all the way.

All I was doing was pointing out a good product for someone trying to keep legal and still have good functioning equipment.
Those Buell signals are DOT legal, unlike the DRC signals according to Chapparal, so they make sense if you want to stay truly legal. Plus they have a good look and visually appear smaller than they are. I went through two sets of the short small ones before finally doing the Ulysses signals that I had heard about in the ADVrider forum. They are better than any Japanese bike signal I have seen including aftermarket.

Different stuff works for different people. The Buell is a great option for someone that can get them for cheap and where being DOT is necessary.
For me in my situation, the DRC is the same price as the the Buell, and DOT is not a requirement. The durability is proven for both teams, so the DRC remains my top choice. Just another example of my dumb luck :P
I like your fender eliminator turnsleft!
Are those the DRC signals with the smoke lens? Or just really dirty...

4MM aluminum. Two bolts would have been fine to hold it on.:roll eyes:
Thanks DP.
Thanks DP.

Not as bright as stock but still visible. At least in the direct sunlight, cars can see you!
