High altitude carb setup

Here's a tangential question, not to divert the topic too far, but something I've wondered a little about. The latest talk with dirt bikes and such is leaning toward fuel injection - probaly with the first ones showing up in 2008 maybe. With FI, are there typically sensors to sense the fuel mixture and self compensate for optimal ratio all the time? I take it since there is no carb, that there would be none of this jetting and mixture screws to worry about.

RE: High altitude carb setup
Depends on the bike
4 cylinder carbie bike = 4 carbs to mod, adjust or replace
4 cylinder injected bike = 1 ecu to update or replace
1 cylinder bike lets say the KLX, you can mod the CVK34 cheap with Dynojet kit or replace the carbie, fuel injected ecu? dunno how much to replace or mod.
