no.... and yes.... HID do not light up "everything in front" out to 40m away as well....yes HID do light up greater distance but only in spot. HID flood is know where as good as LED's.

just search you tube for guys in 4wd's with HID, then they turn on the LED's....amazing. Compare Lumen outputs for a start on that link I sent.
