Default Hemingway Butte Ride Photos

Here are some photos from yesterday's ride. TNC - this is for you...note the CORRECT color on the X2. I put the KLX graphic on the headlight plate last night, after the ride. New photos will be coming.

This one stopped us, but only because there was a 40-ft dry waterfall just 100 yards up the trail.

It was a little thick in places which was a challenge for me. Had a couple get-offs. No injuries except for the left hand guard which took a good hit an is about half-way broke off. Time for some real hand guards!

Wow! Plenty of room to ride there. Looks like some great terrain for the KLX. The green headlight looks great. Like it came from the factory like that.
Dan...........waiting to see it with the graphics on .

That right there is why i dont have the countshaft sprocket cover on... look how the mud is jammed in there and put a nice coating on the chain as it goes around.... Good pics, looks like fun.

The mud jammed in there terribly. Took the cover off and the clay was solid. I wondered about riding with the cover off...sounds like its not a bad idea???

My bike has almost 10K miles and maybe 1K of them had that cover on... mine always got jammed with leaves.

Back in the day nothing had a cover on it....Seat belts were something that fell behind and under the seats.

Nice! I think it looks even better with the graphic on there.

One thing to think about. The countershaft cover also has the engine case protector fitted with it. It's not too substantial, but might save an engine case if the chain broke. I've thought about making a case saver out of billet aluminum so I would feel better about running without the cover.
