Damn, sounds like you had a rough Memorial Day weekend.

As far as your master link is concerned, I'd be willing to bet 99% that it is just fine. Obviously you don't have a chain tool, so use aneedle nose vise grip plier and squeeze that **** together and then slide on the masterclip....o-ring chains can be a pia.

As far as changin the tire and takin it to the dealer...watch this video, study it, learn it and master it....ya gotta be able to fix a flat on a dirt bike....it really is as easy as he does it. Parts 2 & 3 of the video will show up on the right on youtube

Yea, this Memorial day wasn't my best. But, I have learned a thing or two along the way. I'm going to get a chain tool and see if that helps. With the master link off the chain I still couldn't squeeze it together with the channel locks. My wrists and hands hurt right now so, I'm not going to type much. I'm going to call RockyMountainATV and get some stuff headed my way to make this job easier.

 

You don't need any special tools for the chain, just a bit of technique...

Thanks Kawi Wawi! I read your original post and I have recently reread it.

At this point I feel like a dummy because I'm still screwing around with the chain. I even went as far as buying a new master link. It was a Regina brand and I can tell you the pin diameter will not fit our stock chains. Using large Channel Locks, I still can't get the outer link to clear the pin enough to expose the clip groove on either master link. I'm still two weeks out on delivery on my new chain and chain tools. []
