Hello people,
As mentioned in my other post, I recently acquired a 2000 zx9r which had quite some mods done to it. One was where he got rid of the rear turn signals and embedded them into the center brake light.
Here's the issue: The turn signals work fine. Also the brake light is fine, when I use the rear brakes. However, when I only apply the front brakes, the brake light does not light up.
Pleeeeez help as it will fail inspection without the brake light

well, honestly, i think you have enough here in this thread to get it going... not sure what else you might need.

 

i am concerned because it won't pass inspection... thas all... anybody know where i can start and how to fix it?

 

I'm sure someone on here knows better than me on the zx9r, but I would start at the switch. There should be a stoplight switch next to the brake handle on the bars. Make sure it's plugged in, has power, etc. If you have power going in the switch, and power coming out of the switch, then you know you have a broke wire somewhere between the switch and the taillight.... JMO tho'

 

theres a switch just where big said.

 

replaced the switch (although used a honda switch since the stealer didn't have a kawasaki one).. but for 15 bucks, i didn't care...

 

did that fix it
