Help me, questions about klx250s
Well Ive been needing a dirt bike for a whole
So I went to my local dealership and saw the 2012 Klx 250s
My friends drive motocross bikes, and I want a bike to rip like there's for example my friends 2011 kx250f
My question is, how does it accelerate and such compared to the Kx , his just rips and the tires spin and it goes, what is the Klx like compared to this and if it isn't what will it take to get it to this point
I am turning 15 and wanted a road legal bike for 16, but if it doesn't even compare to the motocross an offroad bikes then I'll find a 250f

No, it doesn't even compare to the KX in terms of engine performance or suspension. So if your priority is to rip it up with your off road friends in off road situations, you'll be disappointed. On the other hand, the KLX may be the best balance between a dirt bike you can ride on pavement with extreme durability...along with perhaps the Yamaha WR250R. A modded KLX will take you just about anywhere your friends can go on their race bikes, it will just happen a bit slower...as long as your friends are decent off road riders, of course.
I remember when I was your age. All my friends had "race" quads and bikes. They wanted to ride on the road so bad (so badly that they would often get in trouble with the local police). Just think how jealous your friends will be when you can just take off from the trail to...wherever you want.
note: I never had a bike when I was that age (other than a mini-bike). I sometimes wonder if I should have gotten one instead of a jetski, but then I think, hmm, I was young and dumb, riding on the road could have gotten me killed. It's up to you (and your parents) to decide what is best.

I think your better off getting the ktm 450exc of thats the performance you want. It's a race bike camouflaged as a dual sport. Costs more than twice as much though.
Klx250s modded with bb351 can also deliver .

Yeah spend the time/money to setup the suspension and get a 351 kit for it and it should hang with the KX just fine AND be street legal.
But the 250 itself is pretty slow and you won't be happy. I love my bike but everytime I ride it, I go, man this thing needs more power! Then I check my wallet and hope I can order a 351 kit soon.

No, it doesn't compare to any two strokes or any "race bikes"
Compared to a 125 2 stroke it is heavy. Compared to any race bike, it is heavy.
Because it is street legal, Kawi had to dial back the engine to meet emissions.
Even with the big bore kit, it is not even close to any performance bike.
Sorry, but I don't think you will like this bike. Go husky, ktm or husaberg if you want a street legal bike that can rip it up.

The KLX250S is an awesome bike, for what it was designed for... to be a DUAL-SPORT (with an emphasis on off-road).
As others have stated, it IS NOT a full-on dirt bike. You will NOT be happy with it! If you want a dirt bike, buy a dirt bike!!!
