Default header gasket

For those that have replaced the header, can you reuse the copper header gasket? Anything to be careful of? I have the powerbomb sitting in the garage and the gasket is backordered. HMF + FMF= More Power!!! (tim allen grunt)

New is better & both times I had the header off I replaced it (maybe why its on backorder). But I am sure most on here used over & were fine. I reused in a pinch on other bikes also. Once you should be OK, prob not want to reuse alot more than that. Worse case it leaks & you have to wait.

My bike's factory header must have been bolted up on Monday morning because mine didn't come with a gasket. I just cut up some thinheader gasket material I had laying around the shop when I installed my Muzzy. Been about a year now.....no problems, It's just a little 250

I bet it had a gasket, sometimes they get stuck in the head & you gently need to pry them out with a screwdriver. The "gasket" is really just a copper ring.

I change them out on a new exhaust especially. $4 for 4 of them, just a piece of mind and laziness thing for me. ( I don't like doing things twice)
