I have a 1993 KLX250s with only 4536 km on it. All the gauges are in kilometers it was a prototype then, but I think it is the same as a 94. The other day I Broke the timing chain, bent the cam, dropped a valve and bent the piston all going only 10 mph and no I wasn't revving the engine all the time. I only bought this from my girlfriend's dad 3 weeks ago. I took it to a local shop and thankfully my girlfriends dad said he would pay for the repair. But thy quoted us for $950. He didn't want to pay all of that so he only payed for the piston to be replaced and the bike to be put back together as is. So instead of paying so much for someone else to fix it I would like to do it myself and with the help of you guys. So can I get any links for cheap parts and info on what to do. I would appreciate it so much.

 

In my wharehouse I have a basket case KLX that was given to me by a guy leaving island. I forget what year it is(could be 2004 or could be 1994. Send me an email at my formum name @ hotmail to remind me to take a look at it monday.
