Has Anyone Replace Their Headlight Assembly?

Has Anyone Replace Their Headlight Assembly?
I mentioned in a post yesterday that I broke the plastic enclosure around my headlamp. Like a newbie, I figured this part would not be outrageously expensive, but I was wrong. If I replace it with an OEM part, I am looking at 90-something bucks from the dealer or about $75 from RonAyers. That raises 2 questions in my mind:
1. Does anyone have one of these parts lying around following a headlamp assembly replacement mod?
2. Does anyone have any suggestion on how best to repair broken plastic parts?
The part is broken in 3 places. The front face is split from the bottom, left corner up into the face a few inches. Also, 2 of the 4 mounting points on the back are broken off. It holds on pretty well with just the 2 remaining bolt points, so I am hoping I can repair the plastic somehow and live with somewhat-less-strong-than-original part.
Any thoughts?

i dont think you can really repair those.... they are pretty much break and replace...... you could try.... not sure how it will work... some epoxy might work on the under side.... good luck.

Yeah, the 1st one is pretty freaky looking. I kind of like the 2nd one in either black or Kawa green. It looks like both colors are available.
If I can not find a cheap plastic part, I will probably go for one of those colors in the 2nd style.
Thanks for the link, Deej.

Alien movie?!?? Is that where you got some inspiration for your tagline, as well? It works for Sigourney Weaver, too! With 4 sequels and another on the way, it's making her richer, that's for sure!!!

I've seen that alien one on a DRZ400SM in person and it actually looked pretty sharp on the bike. I find our big square headlight is old looking and outdated.
