Back in the 70's when I wore bellbottoms, probably more of a concern than it is now....
Peace, brother.

wore shoes and i had double knotted by shoelace, so that it wouldn't come undone and get stuck in the chain...somehow one of the loop when in perfectly into the foot peg...the teeth on the pegs holding the loop in....almost tipped over....shoelaces are dangerous!....i wear full leather military boots with the laces tied up way up on the shin and underneath my pants...and i wear riding pants...

Do you have the front sprocket cover in place? If it's not there that could cause a problem otherwise you should be OK. Laces are a BIG hazard, pant legs not so much.

My M/C Safety instructor made a big point of not wearing laces, or at least tucking them in, mostly for catching on a foot peg and not being able to get your foot down to the ground.
