I kind of like the look of it. I don't care about a V-twin, and overall it's a silly bike, but at a glance it looks moderately capable, and unique. I wasn't surprised to read "vibration-isolation bar risers" in the article the OP linked to. It was cool to see companies like Biltwell and Joker Machine providing parts for a DS bike. I read The Horse Magazine (mostly about backyard/homebuilt choppers), and I'm used to seeing those names in there... Here, not so much. I know they probably wouldn't have been so interested to help a guy building a one-off DS Ducati or Aprillia, but it's a start.

And did anyone see the Versys 650 twin engine in a KLR650 chassis? There have been pics of several of these homemade beasts floating around. The 72hp twin isn't all that much heavier than the KLR engine.

Dan, did they have Snell helmet ratings back then? And check out what looks like a "For Sale" sign on the side of the bike...LOL!
