It's a thin plastic lense cover for goggles - you stack a few on your goggles and when they get muddy, you pull a "tear off" which peels off a layer and you have clear vision at least until you get roosted again at which time you pull another one off. When you run out, you throw your goggle away and hope you don't get a rock in your eye.

i wouldnt just throw them on the ground, im so sick of people doing that ****. were losing more and more trails to stupid **** like that. and $7 for a 10 pack is quite redicilous, i think ill stick to squinting

I agree on the price. But I went all day today with them on and didn't need to pull one, so they might last a while. I just wore them today to get used to them for next weekend. I've never raced before, but I'm guessing folks there aren't quite so courteous as your riding buddies when it comes to giving you a face full of dirt. [:@]
Hare Scrambles
Hare scrambles are conducted on long, marked loop courses through woods and over rugged natural terrain. Events are run for a designated number of laps or length of time, typically two hours. Competitive riders not only need to be fast, but also physically fit enough to maintain a race pace for hours.
I think it would be fun to try. I have ridden on a hare scramble course... but wasnt racing... some nasty stuff... at least in the hills of WV it is.

Pretty much...You just slide them under the lip of the seal and carefully try to remove the dirt or whatever is holding the seal lip open allowing it to leak...
