Default Happy Man

Well I finally did some work to the old 250. Added a muzzy exhaust, and did my own jetting lol.. I mean drilled them out to suit my needs. The power difference is incredible.

Smile More info.

Hi Chubby, congrats on the new performance but I am new to the klx and am wondering how you modded your carb. I am about to order an fmf q4 for my bike but I am totally clueless concerning the carb. I am planning on getting the dj kit but it appears that you may know how to get similar results with out it. Everything I have owned for several years now had EFI and I would love to how you did it.
Thanks.

Jimntr,
To be honest most would say dont do it the way I did so you dont mess things up. I am comfortable enough to do it. I have a set of super small drill bits and hold the jet in hand and turn the bit with other hand . Of course you have to guess(by experience) you know about how big to make them. My plug is a nice tan so its not too lean.
oh by the way, I drilled out the pilot and the main. Take off is great, and it pulls hard through all the gears.
