Default Which Handguards?

I started looking into those cool looking and imo very functional aluminum hand and lever/perch protectors. Just price that master cylinder/front brakeperch! The climate is pretty cool most of the year here so I am definantely going with the spoilers also.So many choices; I would really appreciate some input from those of you that have already done this mod.
I will be replacing the handle barsforstronger and higher bars at the same time. For the bars I am considering the Tusk T-10 Aluminum Handlebar $24.99 at www.rockymountainatvmc.com. Either the CR high bend w/ 3.75" height or the KX high bend W/ 4.00" height. I am6'0" and don't spend to much time standing at my age. But most of my riding is off road so I probably stand a lot for an old fart. Inputis welcome!

Thanks guys and I hope that Chris, Eric and the rest of the folks that are in Florida for the TOUR DE APPALACHIACOLA are having a great (warm) time.

heres my brushguards. i grabbed a set of acerbis and copped out on getting anything much different in the bars. i went with a 7/8th's bar for the kx250. while im generally happy with the look of the acerbis, id like to note the fact that they do take a bit of real estate up on the bars and routing some wires/lines was a PITA. im not happy with the way i had to run the front brake line as it requires freedom to ride up and down with the motion of the front end. due tot he way the acerbis's mount the line is forced to rub a bit on the inner mount. (see pictures)

i like my moose aluminium handguards shown with optional spoilers. i have hit many trees with them and actually bent my tag bars and not the handgaurds.

Hey Guys ,
Thanks for the info and photos on your set ups.

KAWASAKIspeed,
That link to Enduro Engineerings hand guards looks like a good possibility. I just wish thier photos showedthe mounting brackets. And I am assuming that the price is for a pair? If so that looks like a great price. And I am definately wanting the protection for the levers/perch not just a brush guard.

jsac,
Yeah those are out of the running for me. I want to have free movement of the cables. Looks like it is past Beer Thirty.

klxstikkler,
The Moose guards look like a pretty good fit. Is there ample clearance between the guard and levers?

I use the Cycra hand guards on my KLX300. I put on the triple clamp mounts and that solves all of your cable routing problems and it also makes the system very strong. No more turning on the bars after a crash.

yes there is enough clearance. not much at the ***** at the end of the levers, but plenty for your hands
