Hey guys, I've been on the road for two weeks, but count me in on the brake line guard or guards. I'm going to bed, I'm beat, being on a jury for 8 days has taken its toll both physically and mentally.

Are we going to hold off on the guard thing, and possibly kill 2 birds with the braided brake lines? Makes sense to me personally. Looks like the braided lines might only need the rear guard (like the commercially available one) if anything.
I like the idea of the braided lines, but I am guessing that there will be a decent group of folks that will need a cheaper option. If Bill comes through with something that is fairly economical, then it will be a possibility for me. If it turns out to be at the same price point as the other SS line options, then I will still have a need for a guard for my stock line. I guess it wouldn't hurt to hold off for a little while and see what Bill can come up with.

My 2ยข.

Not so fast...#1 As I said earlier, I'm knee deep into this race bike this week, and likely next week too...GOTTA get it done (1st race is in 2 weeks!). #2 The SS brake line talk has been introduced, and rightfully so...seems like a good alternative to me.
Rome wasn't built in a day, and the list seems to grow larger each day (much needed info for pricing). This isn't going to happen overnight, and there's likely to be a trial and error phase before any money is accepted for this "cost" purchase.

Here's the current list. As Snal mentioned several posts back, inclusion on this list does not lock you into anything. The list is basically to get a good working figure for how many units we are going to need. Snal needs as good a figure as we can get him in order to estimate the cost for the job. To that end, if anyone currently on the list knows that they will not be interested in a set of guards, let me know and I will take you off the list.

Anyway, here's the updated list as of 3/14/07:

1. cwgoff
2. ginsu4u
3. EMS_0525
4. jeepphamilee
5. doubled6
6. coolchange
7. mnmadness
8. RU2112SH
9. JB1
10. Divodave

18. mrphone
19. secondclasshero
20. fishfinder

27. CarbB
28. mustang
29. IRONHORSEGUY1966

If I have missed anyone, please bring it to my attention.

Thanks,
Chris

Good, because Im really not interested in doing the SS brake line. I would still like these gaurds.

same here. if anything i would say that both should be done.. the ss lines are mainly for brake feel performance improvement.. if u crack a log or rock those ss lines are gonna mash just as nicely as the stock lines ;/
