A grim topic...
LOL, I hate when I'm reading these old threads and then realize they're over a year old. doh! I guess my posts as "guest" should've told me. Anyways, I wish Ihadn'tsold my KLX and stuck with my original plan.
As far as having the 300 and still not being able to wheelie, well, you evidently don't have the talents to wheelie. With my still oem sized cylinder and just jetting, gearing, and BigGun exhaust my KLX would wheelie as I've said many times before, through 3rd gear. I believe the pumper carb is the key though to effortless wheelies on the KLX although I've never ridden one so equipped. I have raced MX before though and can vouch for the throttle response sucking on the CV carb'd KLX over a straight pumper MX carb.

. There was also a thread in here on wheelie techniques somewhere, lots of good info. If guys like myself and deej can get her up, so can you
Welcome to the site!
Hey Stellar I don't know about you, but I never have trouble getting it up.[8D][8D][8D] But the best technique is to just pull the bars and hit the gas about a foot from the log, and then pull in the clutch in and let the momentum carry you over as you lean forward and get your weight to pop the back tire over. It works every time whether its a 4 inch log that is slimy , or a 16 inch log. The secret is to not get on the throttle after the bike is on its way over, unless you want to spun the back tire sideways and end up on the ground.
As far as just wheeling, that's something you just have to learn. What gears are you running? With the 13-45 and the jetting and exhaust doing a 1st gear wheelie is so easy its not funny. My problem is that the pelican case gets in the way to get the bike up in second because I can't shift my weight back far enough. Good luck man.
