looking at the above picture, i must say that KLX from that angle looks freaking kick ***.........eh? the shrouds and the whole profile of the front end really gets me going. but that was the main selling point for me when i bought mine, the look of the bike. adding a few things and taking off a few things just enhances. the WR's look sweet too all dual sported up. too bad we can't do that in every state. the WR would be on a lot of roads along with the honda CRF-X.

 

i agree they are a step up in oem form, but with the 331kit and a pumper carb and some suspension upgrades, i'd say the KLX would outperform both and be street legal at the same time. something to think about when you sell you KLX and then pour out even more money for the WR that is NOTstreet legal. it's really something you need to consider if you're still looking at a 250 sized machine. I'm gonna have right at $600 total with my 331 upgrade including a used 300 cylinder and then the kustomkraft.com boring to 331. then, if you want you could add a pumper carb for around say $400 and I'd think you'd still be far under the extra dough you're gonna have to cough up just for a used WR. just something to think about. the KLX is, as i've said before, a jack of all trades. for $1500, it can be made into a pretty mean machine. that's with an exhaust in that estimate.
