yeah i moded mine 128main 40 pilot new needle jet at #2 get 55mpg new snorkel, 2 bros exhaust, stock sprokets 14f 42r tried a 13 in front and didnt see much of a diffrence at all.

 

No tach man .. I sure like to have one though..

 

My stocker gets about 55 MPH based on the last two tanks. Although I am up a mile high and rode a 60 mile winding canyon pretty hard. I am sure if I stayed out of the throttle and was in town I could net some better mileage...but my right hand likes to twist too much.

My speedo is about 5 MPH off at 50 MPH. I need to run 50 MPH on the stretches of road everyone drives 45 on or I will find headlights coming up fast in the mirrors.

I would like to eventually put a Trail Tech Vapor on once my go-fast parts list is checked off. The stock speedo is no good! (Noticed the 2009 KLX has a digital cluster, but that would probably cost an arm and a leg.)

 

With my new 13t gear I tried my GPS with it...

At 80 Im doing 72

At 65 Im doing 58

At 60 Im doing 55

Cheating way to figure it out is -10% of the speedo....
