I know how you feel and this is why I changed the cable with a 3in longer... It could be a little dangerous to accelerate when you turn left... :-)

 

Ha! it's more of a nuisance. I would never be in a situation where I am turning the bars so dramatically at any decent speed.. It's mostly when I am backing up and have the bars all the way to the side.. but the clutch is disengaged.
