Pressures that high are asking for trouble, especially on the front tire. Drop the pressures down to 18psi and the bike will handle much better off road.

Well, I got it tagged and registered today so I'm legal on public roads ...

Thinking about it some more after reading your posts, I think the front tire is probably aired up too firmly and isn't compliant for the surface that gave me trouble. When the rear swung out on me, I was sucked up towards the gas tank and probably didn't have enough weight on the rear tire.

Yep, newbie errors. More miles and more practice should help.

I should also note that I rode it on thestreet to get some gas and the first station's pumps were down so, I went a little further then planed. Other then not a lot of power for climbing a grade to the top of the hill, it handled well on the road. 4K RPMs in top gear isn't very responsive so, I see some power upgrades in my future.

Maybe thats what my problem is, is that I sit too close to the tank in the sugar sand. It gets all wobbly, and tracks out from under me as if I'm standing still falling over. I'll try to sit way back next time like you all are saying and get less weight on the front, more on the rear. Thanks!

There is also a speed where the bike will kind of stabilize. You'll have to play aroundto find that speed, but sometimes faster is better on the loose stuff.
