Default Is this a good price on a 2008 Ninja 250

Not much going on over on that bike's forums. Here is where it's at. Geographic locations play a big part, I know.

2008 red Ninja 250. 450 miles. Looks immaculate. I mean showroom quality. Asking $3500 with Shoei Helmet and Joe Rocket jacket. Talked him to $3200 with the helmet and jacket.

Most 08 250's are going for a bit higher like $3500 and with around 5000 miles. Similarly priced 2008's all have 5000 or more miles.

I think this might be a decent deal, what do you think? I could probably sell the helmet and jacket for a couple hundred to bring the total cost to $2900.

Kelly Blue Book says $2695 for retail, but that is for a bike with something like 3 or 5 thousand miles, from a dealer. This one has 450. There is no way a dealer will let a 2008 Ninja 250 go for that price around here.

Do yourself a favor and buy an Aprilia RS250. So much more bike for the same dough. 64Hp Vs less than 30 Hp. No contest IMHO. New 250's are choked +++ and soft as s@#t.

I don't believe that bike would be recommended for a new rider or a non-track rider. I can't imagine the maintenance schedule, let alone the insurance. Not to mention the fact that it's a 2 stroke.

The Ninja is for my girlfriend. If my bike sells ever then we can talk horsepower!

Doubt it...it would be sooo much fun though. Not a viable street option.

That's a wicked piece of kit for sure but that one is a track bike.
No good for road use.
Let me re-phrase that.
Awesome fun on the road, just not legal.

Sounds like a fair price... I mean, the MSRP for an 08 Ninja wasn't but like 4K to begin with, and if you claim its immaculate... they are nice looking bikes, I scoped them out at the dealership a few times.

We looked at a yellow 07. This one was pretty immaculate too. New tires, bar end vibration dampers, and a bubble windscreen. $2500.

What can I say? I tried to get her onto some dual sports, but most are just too tall and/or underpowered. Gotta love an asian chick on a sportbike, right?

But man, there is nothin' goin on over on the ninja 250 section here! Not like here...then again, this place is like romper room sometimes!
