question about the fuel screw adjustment you recomend. at present i am at 2 full turns out. you say adjust pilot screw for fastest idle. so i literally just keep turning it until the idle is fast. i would have figured turning the fuel screw open would just keep increasing the idle. so under normal conditions, would it start to slow the idle if turned too much and i just need to find the right amount from 0-3 full turns out?

also did notice that the airbox side of the carb was not attached properly and was loose, so i did tighten that. have not had a chance to get it out for a test yet.

your probally running too small of an pilot jet. i think the guy that did his mod used a 40 or 45. with the pilot jet the theory is to turn it out and it will speed up and untill you get too rich then the engine speed will drop again. so you want to be in between rich and lean. but if you keep screwing it out and the speed doesnt pick up and then slow down, then you need to go to a bigger pilot.

theres the actual jet behind the bowl. the adjustable needle gives you some adjustability, you can get at that from the front bottom of the carburetor.AKA fuel screw
