Default Gas Leak

Picked up a 250s for my wife earlier this week. It's a little tall for her but seems like a great bike. She's dumped it a couple of times (misplaced footing on tip toes), and a puddle of gas immediately formed under the bike. Looks like it might be coming from one of the grey plastic tubes that extends to the bottom of the bike next to the air filter oil drain (tank vent tube?). Is this normal? I've spilled my KLR650 a couple times on trails, but I've never had gas leak as a result...

I have dropped my bike a couple of times, but it has only been in the dirt. I did get a heavy wiff of gasoline, much stronger then normal after I dropped the bike, but I meticulously looked the bike all over, no sign of gas, I started it up, and then rode it like normal, but I never did see any actual gas come out of the bike itself. It has been close to a week since that happened, and I have had no problems since. But I do remember that heavy gas smell, sorta like just opening a container of gas to pour into the lawn mower.

When the bike is on it's side, gas can leak from the carb overflow tubes near the bottom of the shock.
