Default FYI manual fan switch

Decided to put a manual fan switch on my KLX, and started looking around for diagrams of the manual switch. Instead found a premade switch from smart moto that uses factory connectors (so literally unplug from rad, and plug this thing in) and it allows normal use of the fan (comes on like normal in case you forget). 21$ from greece, but it took 4 days to get to Canada. Took longer to get something from Cali!

Anyways, yes I could have done it myself, but for the simplicty of Plug and play, I paid the 21$. Well worth it!

Anyways just a heads up for others that hate electrical work!

Depending on the quality of the switch and ease of attachment to a convenient location, I don't see a problem with the $21. My "homemade" setup still probably cost about $10 or $12 so that at least the handlebar switch portion wouldn't look like a string-pull closet light bulb switch.

And worth mentioning, it's for the carbed klx only. (I emailed them to double check)

I fitted one of these yesterday. Works really well and I put the switch to the radiator brace inside the gap in the tank fairing.

My bad, should have posted the link. I got it off their ebay store.

Still working on mounting it. Trying to figure out a place that's out of the way but still accessible.

Not sure how much extra wire they give you, but one good spot for a switch is right next to the rear master cylinder. I bought a small bracket that attaches to the bolt that holds the master cylinder. Out of the way and easy to reach over and grab. I also put a switch in a similar place on the left side of the bike for my aux lights.

I mounted it on the rad bracket. Easy to get to and out of the way.
