Yes I see what you mean about the superglue!
Got the carb back in!!!!!!!!!!!! Whew.. Damn.
So are these the two points that get capped off for de-smogging? How do I know the carb is in the perfect upright position? Im going off the choke ****. Seems to be in the right spot.

The front boot (between the carb and the head) has an indexing notch cut into it that mates to an indexing protrusion on the casting of the carb.

If that hose goes to the head, then yes.. But you took off the system, so you should know what needs capping..

And to you !
Great job !
More than a few peeps can't do that work correctly the first time...
I assume you've given the bike a thorough shakedown ride - one that would reveal any errors you could have made..?

Just ran around the block to my brother's house to return a few tools. Got it up to 4th no problems or pops. Had a few beers to celebrate so maybe wait till tomorrow for a proper run on the highway. I'll let you know. Thanks again.

Well here's to you enjoying the fruits of your work...

Your bike should scream from 5500 rpm to 10,500, but not so much below that..For low and mid powah, you gotta add the MCM (cam retime mod)..

If the Muzzy is doing its' job well, you're enjoying over %20 moar powah ! Power shifts to second gear @ 10,000 rpm should bring the front wheel up ! Top speed should be over 100mph (indicated) with stock sprockets..

20% is what it feels like. Incredible HP gain. Very impressed!

Wow. Took it out today and hot damn the thing cooks now! No stumbles anywhere. No pops other than a few slightly audible burps when downshifting in the 7000-8000 range. Idle is good. 1500 RPM's.
I did notice that if I'm at a light for more than a minute or two the rpm's jump up to 2,000 RPS's Does not seem to be running abnormally hot as well. Very happy

That RPM rise to 2k, while idling, while hot, is a concern. It is not suppose to do that.

Set idle back down to specs - 1250 to 1300 rpm - Then lets try out some Kouba screw settings. Starting at 4 turns out, and with the bike warmed up and at idle, turn in the Kouba slowly until the idle starts to drop, then back it out 1 turn..

If the engine "acts up" or doesn't like 1250-1300 idle speed, then there is a problem.

Is it normal for the idle to go up after jetting and new pipe? Could it be an exhaust leak because I didn't use silicone on the pipe? Will try adjusting idle speed and kouba screw!
