front sprocket ridge in or out ?

Default front sprocket ridge in or out ?

Just got a new 14 t front sprocket. Which direction does the side with the ridge face ?

keeps the sprocket away from the engine case some .

Yes its in, acts as a spacer to keep it away from the case.
