Front master cylinder upgrade.

Front master cylinder upgrade.
I'm in the process of upgrading the brakes on my bike. I would like to increase the power of the front as IMHO it's lacking although the modulation it gives is very very good. The rear brake is "wooden" IMHO and feel an upgrade will add some modulation and better feel.
I've already received a set of stainless steel Goodrdige hoses (front and rear) courtesy of my pops who lives in the UK.
I'm waiting on a EBC oversize rotor kit (280mm) to arrive (thanks again pops!) (Part # OS6330C if anyone needs it. )
Question is. what was the KX master cylinder that was used in the brake upgrade by a inmate? (Year and bike model. Was it a KX250?)
If I'm doing the front hose, disc, caliper relocation bracket for the 280 mm disc, then I may as well just go the whole hog and do the master cylinder too.
I'll reserve my final decision until I find out the price of a master cylinder.
I' recon' the 280 mm rotor and stainless hoses will give me what I'm looking for in upgraded performance, although I recon' the master cylinder would be the icing on the cake.

The braided front line makes a noticeable difference on it's own. The back one is pretty short and stiff in stock form so it doesn't change much except its bomber.
does the caliper bracket come with the rotor?

Yes. You get a bracket to relocate the stock caliper as the new rotor is 280 mm, up 20 mm from the stock rotors 260 mm.

The front s/s brake line makes a huge difference all by itself, the rear isn't worth doing. IMO thats all you need for dirt, on tar with road tyres the large rotor will help
Tremor38 did the kx master cylinder on his D-Tracker.

Wow, that was back when the forum was having some annoying problems...like losing the spacing between words when you post. My brain might work that way, but I promise my typing doesn't.
Maybe I'll go back and do some editing
I'm still running with the KX master. I think it offers the best bang for the buck among master cylinder upgrades.

Apparently they're pretty much all the same. KDX200/220, KX125, KX250, KX250F. Plenty out there by the look of things. :clap
