Front end singing/whistle
The maintenance I referred to is for the electronic speed sensor on a 2012.
Yep, understand that, but the Vapor doesn't use anything but a wire and magnet...nothing to make any noise. You gut the OEM speedo drive...worm gear and all...and just use it like a conventional wheel/hub spacer. And yes...I've even looked at the seal on the old speedo drive as a possible source, but it's not the source either. I still think that we're not all experiencing the same sound and same source...perhaps...though the sound as described sounds quite similar.
I just did a desert ride over Memorial Day Wknd. Mine started making the same noise. It was even noticeable on the GoPro video. I came home and changed the front wheel bearings out and the sound is gone. May be your culprit too.
Edit: See, this is what I was talking about. One guy tries one thing and the noise disappears, and another tries something else and the noise disappears. Other than the noises actually being something different on different bikes, I'm thinking that just the removal or tinkering with the front end or wheel/axle is disrupting whatever was causing the noise. Fortunately, it appears obvious that whatever it is isn't a real problem, because none of us are flying over the bars or having the engine blow up as a result...LOL!

OK, so I have the noise too, never thought much about it until this thread showed up.
Tried braking hard and soft when hearing it - no change.
Took the wheel off and reset it - no change.
Checked wheel bearings - they are good .
2 days ago I noticed when I down shifted from 2nd to 1st it appeared. Upshifted to 2nd and it went away, immediately.
It's something to do with being in 1st gear. Definitely happens with the clutch in, not sure about it with the clutch engaged.

So I captured the whistle on video. After I shot the video, I just hosed off the bike and the sound was gone...

That's interesting, Lot. I can't be sure that's what I hear on mine when it's actually rolling, but I can't swear it wouldn't be the sound. On the other hand, I wouldn't think that sound you have there would be very intense while the bike is running and with a helmet on. I don't know.
