Front end shake/loose
I did some suspension adjustment on my bike yesterday and then took it for a long ride. Specifically I tried to set the sag. Now bear in mind this is my first bike and I'm pretty inexperienced.
For rider sag I set it to 114mm and bike sag was 40mm. Being that I'm about 225# in gear and the springs are stock. I didn't mess with it too much as I don't think I'll get it much better with stock springs. I reset all the rebounds to 2 clicks stiffer than stock. Most of my riding is currently secondary highways and gravel roads. Probably won't see trails now till next spring, in fact I'm pretty surprised to be out riding at all this late in the year.
Bike rode much better, back end used to bounce quite a bit on frost heaves, now it good. Steering seems sharper on corners.
However what worries me is at speeds over 110km/h the front end seems loose and over one bump it did give a bit of shake. Not a total tank slapper but seemed like it could do that if I had been going faster. I don't remember the front end being like that before so I'm wondering if the adjustments I made caused it.
What adjustments can cause or contribute to the front end being loose. I've rears a bit on raising lowering the forks. Is that possible/advisable on our bikes?

Are the forks all the way down in the triple crown?
You're going to need springs at that wt if you want to do any speed in the dirt or woopy areas.
Check your tires and their pressure. If your running full pressure, in gravel or dirt, it is going to feel unstable for sure. Some tires (tread pattern) wobble more than others.
Some times you get a wobble, the bike is set up to turn really quick. Just relax a little.

Not sure if they are down in the triple crown or not. This is new to me so I'll have to have a look and see.
Right now I'm just riding highways and gravel roads. I'll worry about dirt and trails next year.
How fast can you go on these bikes before they get unstable? I'm running stock tires and pressure.
