Free Stock Footpegs for the Taking
Last week or so, Kawi Wawi showed off his mod to his stock footpegs. That prompted me to finally get around to install the IMS pegs that I picked up on Ebay a month or so ago. The install was very easy, and I am amazed at the difference in the feel with the larger foot base. Actually, I haven't even had a chance to ride with them yet, because I am doing a few other things to the bike and it is still on the lift. I sat on the bike long enough to realize that I was really going to like the new pegs though.
Anyway, I figured since I have been helped so much with stuff, I would share the love a little bit and pass my stock pegs along to someone.Hopefully someone can use them to modify or just as a backup. I figure if nothing else you can use these pegs to prototype your own mod without risking destroying your only set of pegs.
If anyone is interested, you can have them for just the actual cost of shipping. If the recipient is going to the Northeast ride and doesn't mind waiting, I will bring them up there to save shipping.
Anyone?

Snal, they are yours.
BTW, how many 300's are you going to buy. What's up with 2 "new" 300's and a KLR650. You're nuts.
Also BTW, how did your first race with your race bike go?

Chris...I was looking for another 300 for my second son, found a good deal on another 99 model, and the next morning someone sent me pics of an 05 KLR. It looked like new, and had 7100 miles on itso I replied and asked the price...theguy wanted 2K for it! I went to have a look, and sure enough...it didn't have a scratch on it! I bought it to sell, and try to pick up a few bucks, but I love it! I'm broke now...But I still love it!
The race bike did well, we didn't have any tracking issues, or any "build" issues at all. We did have a fuel delivery problem though. Seems to running the float bowl dry, so we're putting a low pressure fuel pump on it. It ran out of gas in the last qtr mile and still ran 110mph. The pilot said it pulled like a train, so I think we have a record breaker.
