Since the light was built for the KLR650, all you do is turn it upside down and it will fit the KLX250 with no problem.

Thanks Tremor38, that’s what other posts were saying, and at $80 beans (market quote today has beans trading at 1.02 dollars so even THEY are beating the beleaguered dollar!!) I wanted to be a bit cautious....

Sorry it won’t work for your bike, can you get a KLX 250 model back light to replace yours?

 

Different fender, so probably not. I like the shape of my fender and have other options for LED tailight; just none that blink or are shaped like an X. I'm considering building an LED light and using it in conjunction with a tail light modulator, but that will depend upon how ambitous I get this winter.
