Any Interest
I don't post much but have been around the forum for awhile.
I bought my KLX250S back in April and just have not been riding much, I wanted to list the bike here first to see if there is any interest in the bike.
Payed retail in April
Bike has 515 miles
N1TC needle
125 Main
2.5 turns out
300KLX Headpipe & exhaust(new condition when put on)
Snorkel removed from airbox lid
Carb slide still needs to be drilled
Save over new $3900.00
Live in Neligh Ne(northeast part of state)
would consider driving part way.
Email me for pics tgwilliams@frontiernet.net

RE: Any Interest
Change of heart, I'm just going to add a more streetable bike to the stable.
Also drilled carb slide hole to complete the mods.
All the mods together work well with this bike, stock gearing no longer looses ground up a hill or in a wind. With my current jetting 125 main, 35 pilot, 3 turns out mixture, snorkel removed I am getting backfire off the bottom. I do have a 40 pilot from one of my other bikes and will give that a try and back off the fuel screw.
I still believe the CV carb is one of the biggest limiting factors on this bike, has anybody tried replacing with a flat sided or any other type?
Another tip, on adventure rider I noticed some of the DRZ riders adding BMW Dakar fairings to help deflect wind. Being a former Dakar owner it isn't the greates but is a helk of alot better than nothing for those who ride alot of street.
