Hey guys,
So far so good with the FMF header/pipe combo, I have changed a few things on the bike since my last post on the system and it has peformed real well. I recall going up a good grade passing a bus and it was pulling real hard and looking at the speddo 71mph at about 8k rpm and grabbed the final gear and still kept pulling!!!
Keep in mind all, that my system was free because the bike was used for the prototype, but I have tried to as objective as possible in my evaluations. Also I wonder does anyone here also have the full system installed? If so how long dit it take to arrive after the order and did you order direct from FMF?

I installed my FMF full system a few weeks ago. I rejetted to a 124 Dynojet main removed air box lid, installed a Kouba screw 2 1/2 turns out, and removed the smog stuff. I'm at 4000 FT. The bike came alive. It pulls strong well past 10,000 RPM . It's like a completly different bike. Hills that the bike would only pull at 55 in 5th I can now take at 70 in 6th. I totally recomend the FMF Q4 with the powerbomb headpipe! [sm=goodidea.gif]

Awesome, I plan on ordering mine tomorrow. Since it doesn't have a heat shield can you feel it on your leg?For those who have the powerbomb already,do you think the heat shield is worth the $35 extra?
I'm at 3500 with a 122 (I think) kehin main (and 38 pilot) and probably have to pump up a jet....does anyone knowhow the dynojet/kehnin sizes compareas YIZLT's settings will probably work for me?

Get the heatshield so you don't ruin your expensive riding gear or cook your leg if you right-side the bike on yourself.
And I also agree 100% with YIZLT on his FMF recomendation, I couldn't be any happier with mine.

Will the FMF silencer fit on the stock KLX250s headpipe? I have the optional kick start, and in the photos posted earlier it looks like the FMF head pipe may interfere with the top of the kickstarter.
For that matter, what are my options for any slip-ons that will fit on the stock 250s head pipe? I must have something that doesn't wake the dead. Looks like the Staintune will fit, but holy crap is that expensive - they should call them Goldtune.

FMF does sell the headpipe and muffler separate so I think it will work as a slip on.
There is also HMF for slip ons.
Two Brother's also makes a direct fit slip on.
The HMF is in the mid $200 price range, the FMF is $350 for just the muffler, same price for Two Brothers.
